Compound V3 (Comet) is a DeFi lending protocol that allows users to supply collateral assets and borrow a base token. The new Extended Pause mechanism provides controls for selectively disabling specific user assets or actions without halting the entire market.

During the review of the Extended Pause feature, the Certora team identified a total of 4 issues. Three of those, including 1 of high severity, were fixed by the Compound team. The resolution of these issues enhances protocol reliability, mitigates risks of fund loss or misuse, and aligns the system with best practices for smart contract security.
